Handling logs

Available on Juvenile and above. Log a handling session from the animal's detail page under the Handlings tab.
Handling logs help you track socialization progress, monitor stress indicators, and keep staff accountable for routine enrichment.
What's recorded
| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Date | When the session took place |
| Duration | Length of the session in minutes |
| Handler | Which user (or free-text name) handled the animal |
| Notes | Observations — temperament, feeding response, alerts |
Viewing history
The animal's Timeline tab interleaves handling sessions with feedings, sheds, and weight logs so you get a full picture of activity over time.
QR-code quick-log
If QR codes are enabled on your plan, you can scan an animal's label to open a quick-log form pre-filled with that animal. Tap Handling and submit in seconds — no searching required.
Tips
- Use the notes field to flag animals that showed defensive behaviour so staff know what to expect.
- For facilities with multiple keepers, the handler field provides an audit trail for who last worked with each animal.
