Terms of Service

ScaleVault is a product of Dinohouse Digital LLC.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ScaleVault ("the Service"), a product of Dinohouse Digital LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ScaleVault is a web-based platform for reptile breeders and keepers to manage animals, enclosures, feedings, breeding records, and related data. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated at any time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when registering. One person may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes but is not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with other users, uploading malicious content, or using the Service for any illegal purpose. To report abuse by another user, contact abuse@scalevault.app.

5. Data & Privacy

Your data belongs to you. You can export your data at any time via CSV export or full-account JSON backup. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed. All data created by sub-users (additional users invited to your account) is owned by the account owner. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.

6. Plan Limits & Billing

Free accounts are subject to usage limits (animals, enclosures, storage). Paid plans provide higher or unlimited limits. Billing is handled through Paddle as Merchant of Record. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. All payments are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law. No refunds will be issued for voluntary account deletion requests or for accounts suspended or terminated due to violations of these Terms. If you have a billing concern, contact us at billing@scalevault.app before initiating a dispute with your payment provider. Chargebacks or payment reversals filed without prior authorization from ScaleVault support are considered a violation of these Terms and will result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users, including initiating unauthorized chargebacks or payment reversals. You may request voluntary account termination at any time by contacting support at support@scalevault.app. Deletion requests are processed within 7–14 business days; you will receive an email confirmation once complete. Upon termination, your data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. No refunds are issued for accounts deleted at your request or terminated due to Terms violations.

8. Intellectual Property

The ScaleVault name, logo, software, design, and all related materials are the property of Dinohouse Digital LLC. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, branding, or code outside of your normal use of the Service. Your data remains yours and is not claimed by Dinohouse Digital LLC.

9. Availability & Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We make reasonable efforts to maintain uptime and data integrity but are not liable for data loss.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dinohouse Digital LLC and its products (including ScaleVault) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dinohouse Digital LLC, its officers, and its agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Minnesota.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
